This stats tell why businesses and corporation in the UK are trooping into social media. So, you too can leverage on this and grow your business.
1. Share Engaging Contents
Just as the business world is competitive, that is how the social media space is competitive. The millions of companies on social media platforms are all after one thing. Get new customers from millions of social media users. One big mistake that some business make is to post whatever comes their way. From gossip to news, crime, and what have you. Except yours is a media company, you have no business with that. Instead, post engaging contents within the scope of your business and leave your followers with actionable details. For example, if you are into selling sneakers, you can create content like five trending ways to lace your sneaker. And then you can add links to your site urging them to check out some cool sneakers that you have.
2. Give freebies
Giveaways are trending. Organizations, in a bit, to engage their existing customers and also get new ones, they occasionally dish out freebies on their social media handles. In one of my article, I talked about building trust as one of the strategies of marketing adopted by some of the fortune 500 companies. Some companies give a free coupon to winners of a particular contest. One thing about freebies is that it attracts more followers. And the more followers you have, the more likelihood of having new customers.
According to research conducted by Hootsuite, Facebook is the top platform for both B2B and B2Cbusinesses. Ninety-eight percent of the B2C businesses surveyed in Hootsuite’s 2018 Global Barometer Report use Facebook, while 89 percent of the B2Bcompanies do. (Mixed audience businesses report 97 percent buy-in. There are 32.7 million Facebook users in the Uk alone, making Facebook advertising a big deal. The great thing about Facebook advertising is that it is cheap and easy.
4. Use Algorithms Some business owners have neglected the use of algorithms, and that’s maybe why they the conversion rate of followers to customers is prolonged. Algorithms is technically a way of delivering contents that are relevant to users. So, if you study your social media algorithm thoroughly, you will be able to tell which post is more engaging. Many business owners focus on views and reach, but that’s not the deal.
